Services & Specialties

Discover the strength that is already within you

Whether you’re navigating personal challenges, relationship changes, family dynamics, or the effects of trauma, therapy can provide a safe space to explore what you’re experiencing and discover the strengths you already carry.

Individual Sessions

I offer a safe and nonjudgemental space where adolescents and adults can unpack personal challenges. Therapy can help clients gain insight into issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Overfunctioning, self-esteem issues by facilitating an exploration of the connection of feelings, thoughts, and behaviors.

Couple’s Sessions

In couple’s sessions, we look at how our attachment styles are related to the way we communicate. We will work together to Improve communication conflicts, rebuild trust, work through life transitions, and improve overall connection.

Trauma-Informed Care

As a trauma informed therapist, I recognize the lasting effects trauma can have on the mind, body, and nervous system. My approach emphasizes safety, trust, collaboration, and empowerment. I seek to understand, “what happened to you” rather than, “what is wrong with you”. Together, we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you while developing coping skills, processing painful experiences, and strengthening resilience. My goal is to reconnect you with a sense of hope and self-worth.

Family Therapy

I work with families to foster a supportive environment where we will explore the family dynamics and identify patterns of conflict, miscommunication, or emotional distance. By helping my clients gain an understanding of appropriate boundaries and healthier communication, they are able to build stronger connections and create positive changes that improve the well-being of the entire family system.

Faith-Based Therapy

I embrace the concept of the interconnectedness of mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. I invite those who wish to incorporate their spirituality into sessions. I believe hope is instilled when spirituality is integrated into sessions and will honor and respect regardless of various backgrounds or beliefs.

Types of Therapy

Recognizing Inner Strength Effectively

Whether you’re navigating personal challenges, relationship changes, family dynamics, or the effects of trauma, therapy can provide a safe space to explore what you’re experiencing and discover the strengths you already carry.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing):

EMDR is a trauma focused therapy designed to help the brain process distressing or overwhelming experiences that may continue to affect you in the present. It is an evidenced-based form of psychotherapy that safely helps revisit difficult memories while using bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements or alternating taps, to support the brain’s natural processing system. You don’t have to erase the past to heal from it. EMDR can help you process what happened so that the past has less control over how you feel or respond today.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy:

DBT is a highly structured, evidence-based psychotherapy designed to help individuals balance intense emotions. This approach teaches practical skills to manage distress, regulate moods, and improve relationships.

Strengths-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy:

Helps you realize that you possess the resilience required to overcome negative thought patterns. This approach actively brings your character strengths into the cognitive restructuring process.

Solution Focused Brief Therapy:

This type of therapy focuses on solutions and future goals rather than the history of your problems. It helps clients to see hope for the future by highlighting what is working and finding solutions to empower and move toward the future.

Narrative Therapy:

This approach helps you reauthor the story of your life. Instead of focusing on stories of trauma or being a “victim” together we will emphasize stories of resilience and coping.

Mindfulness-Based Strengths Practice:

Similar to strengths based CBT, this modality teaches you to notice your present thoughts, feelings, and actions without judgment, while specifically focusing on where your character strengths are at play. It helps to Improve self- awareness and allows you to call upon your strengths intentionally during stressful moments.

Emotionally Focused Therapy:

Rooted in attachment theory, EFT is often used with couples and families. It is used to assist clients in identifying negative relational patterns and transform problematic emotional states in order to improve communication.
